Getting to know our Dentist

Relate some of your most interesting / challenging experiences so far in yr dentistry career.

The most interesting and challenging experience goes to providing dental treatment for my mother, who happens to be extremely dental phobic yet requires extensive dental treatment (root canals and multiple crowns). The treatment process was challenging and lengthy. It spanned across a year, but thankfully the treatment outcome was successful. The experience taught me the importance of empathy and patience towards my patients, as I remind myself that my patients are someone else’s loved ones as well.

What are your favourite dental treatments?

I have special interests in wisdom tooth surgeries. The procedure is challenging yet rewarding. Many patients are particularly fearful when it comes to wisdom tooth removal, and some even choose to bear the chronic pain caused by recurrent inflammation. It is humbling when patients put their trust in me to remove their source of pain, and even more rewarding when we witness the immediate improvement in quality of life when they return being pain free.

What is one advice you want to give to patients?

You probably already know this, but please brush your teeth!

“What keeps me motivated is having the opportunity to build rapport with different patients and gaining their trust to provide appropriate dental treatment, so that they can achieve a healthy set of teeth”
